James "Jim"'s Story
James "Jim" Andrew Alford Harrison, 73, died Tuesday March 6, 2018 after a six year battle with cancer. Surrounded by his family, Jim died peacefully in his sleep.
Jim is survived by his wife Cynthia Lanza Harrison of Aledo, son, Joshua Harrison of Dallas, three sisters, two brothers, five step children, five grandchildren. He is proceeded in death by his mother, Zetta Leona McMillion, father Andrew Alford Harrison and first wife Pamela Crawford Harrison.
Jim was born in Gainesville, Tx. August 10, 1944. He grew up in Wichita Falls, Texas and attended Midwestern State before joining the Navy. Jim served as an Aid to Admirals Zumwalt, Miller and Kidd and was verteran of the Vietnam war. He initiated and implemented Admiral Zumwalts Z-grams. He had a larger-than-life personality. He established several business (including the Koolaid Stand in Burleson, Texas). Jim will be remembered for his big laugh, positive outlook on life, sense of humor, bargaining skills, antique car collection and hunting interests. Jim was a Christian and shared his love for life with a giving heart and helping hand to all in need. His legacy will live on in many hearts and memories forever.
Services: Saturday 17, 2018, 5:30pm. Ridglea Christian Church of Fort Worth. Private interment in Forestburg Texas.
In lieu of flowers, Jim would wish donations be used for a child in need or to a children's charity.
