James had a passion for helping people and could be found taking care of the community cemeteries or entertaining in local nursing homes. Aside from his volunteer work, James was known for his impressive music collection and love of a good card game.
A memorial service is scheduled for July 8, 2017, at Beulah Baptist church at 11 a.m., with lunch to follow. Brother Ronnie White and Brother Houston Hook will officiate the ceremony. All are invited to attend and celebrate James's life.
In Lieu of flowers, it was his wish that donations be made to local charities or Vitas Hospice at VITASCommunityConnection.org.
