Jack Lee's Story
Jack Lee Gore, 83, of Azle, passed away Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018 at Harris Southwest Hospital surrounded by family.
Funeral: 1:30 pm Thursday at Greenwood Chapel. Interment: A private burial will take place at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at a later date. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Greenwood.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the North Central Texas Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association.
Jack was born Jan. 25, 1935 in Cypress, Ill., the son of Virgil and Lorene Brown Gore. He retired from the Air Force after 20 years of service. Jack was an entrepreneur and owned several businesses, including a lawn care business that he owned for 10 years. Jack was an avid bowler with his wife for over 25 years.
Jack was married to his wife, Collen, for 34 years. He loved being a Pawpaw to all of his grandkids more than anything. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Jack is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Patricia Clayton.
Survivors: Wife, Collen Gore; children, Janette Beam and husband, Lonnie, Katrina Chevalier and wife, Linda Knilans, Daniel Downey and Dawn Beimler; grandchildren, Justin Beimler, Anastasia Downey, Grace Downey, Jordan Cisneros, and Anthony Beam; great-grandchildren, Jeremy Beimler, Blake Cisneros, and Diana Mae Beimler, due in March 2018; and brother, Les Gore, and wife Jean.
