Charles Gibson, age 85, born Sept. 13, 1932, passed away Jan. 4, 2018.
Survivors: wife of 41 years, Judy Gibson; daughters, Rozean Griffin, Sandra Southerland and husband, Paul, Cindy Scott and husband, Dave, and Cathy Brown and husband, Curt; numerous grandchildren as well as great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Charles Vanoy Gibson, Jr. and Terry Gibson.
Charles retired from the Union Pacific Railroad after 33 years. He was a man of many talents who could fix anything. He loved working on his farm with his tractor. He was a Master Mason, Shriner and Past Patron of Lake Worth Order of the Eastern Star. He joined the Army at the age of 17 and on his 18th birthday was engaged for 18 months in the Korean War Conflict. Charles was a faithful member of Springcreek Baptist Church before entering the nursing home.
Memorial service will be held at Springcreek Baptist Church on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018, at 11 a.m. Private graveside to be held at a later date.
