Andrew Donald's Story
Andrew Kompier was called to be with his Lord and Savior on November 7, 2017. Andrew was born in East Chicago, Indiana on July 6, 1928 to his parents, Andrew Kompier and Helen Gadish. A graveside service is to be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
Andrew joined the United States Navy as a young man. Upon re-enlistment, he decided to join the Marine Corps. Andrew spent 20 years in service to his country which earned him numerous medals and accomplishments. Once Andrew was retired he met and married Joan Dove, they shared 50 wonderful years together. He enjoyed acrylic painting and deer hunting. Andrew was a generous man to all who knew him. He loved his family and the time that was spent together making memories.
We are saddened by our loss of this incredible man but our hearts are lightened by our knowledge of his presence in the Kingdom of God.
Andrew is survived by his loving wife, Joan Elizabeth Kompier; his daughters, Barbara Ann Kompier Mitchell, Nancee Ann Sebenaler; his sons, Stephen Andrew Kompier, Denis Andrew Kompier; his step-sons, Jerry Lynn Dove, Archie Wayne Dove, Robert Eldon Dove; his step-daughter, Pamela Dove Miller; his sister, Charlotte Faught; his niece, Pam Johnson; his grandnieces, Rachel Johnson-Card, Keri Pierce; his grandnephews, Drew Johnson, Bret Johnson; along with many other loving family members and dear friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Kompier, Helen Gadish; his son, Paul Andrew Kompier; his step-son, Stewart Ray Dove.
