Alena's Story

Naomi Alena Bell, 88, of Brock passed away, Thursday, December 21, 2017 at her residence. Funeral service: 1 p.m., Saturday December 23, 2017 in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel with interment to follow in Brock Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Brock Community Center or Brock Cemetery Association. Alena was born May 23, 1929 in Slaton, Texas to Eph and Ruby Cox Thomas. She was a homemaker, retired bookkeeper, member of Highway Church of Christ and an active member of the Brock Community. Alena acted as the contact person of the Brock Community Center, past Secretary of Brock Cemetery Association and a member of the Brock Quilting Ladies. She loved her family dearly, enjoyed traveling and cooking. Alena will be remembered as "The Best Pie Maker".
She is preceded in death by her parents, Eph and and her husband Clyde.
Survivors: Sons, Gary Bell and wife Brenda and Roy Bell and wife Dora; grandchildren, Jake Bell and wife Kassie; Whitney Saathoff and husband Jeremy and Hunter Bell and wife Adelita; great grandchildren, Kayden, Mattie and Mazi Bell, Tatum, Lexi, Colson and Mason Saathoff all of Brock; sister, Eula Jo Pankey and husband James of Santo.
